Public bug reported: The configuration files found in pam.d have an invalid syntax that causes pam > 0.77 to crash when reading it.
Simply install latest version of Linux-PAM from http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/libs/pam/, try to login or do any authentification (which will fail). Then look at /var/log/auth.log to see that it doesn't support @include directives. The files in pam.d should be corrected to remove the @include, or the Linux-PAM officially patched to support the @include directive. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- pam.d configuration files don't comply to standard https://launchpad.net/bugs/55705 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
