and Grant Siebricht already mentioned that.

I wasted so much time trying to fix this with my little understanding in this

I think what you describe here is a feature of Unity rather than a bug,
a pretty annoying feature I must admit.
You should be able to turn it off in the CompizConfig Settings Manager.
There you can set the "Edge Stop Velocity" under the "Experimental" tab
of the Unity Plugin.

295.40 on my plunky little geforce 7300/7200 GS card.)

I reinstalled and did not check 3rd party drivers this time, the open
source video driver works with twinview and sticky edges turned off
worked as well. I'd say the problem is with the nvidia driver.

First problem started with multiple monitors being detected then
flipping out flashing monitors like a strobe light. Switched video card
from onboard to nvidia based card and got the new drivers. Now I am
having the same problem as comment #3 with a similar setup.

also does not work when using separate x screen for dual monitors in
nvidia-settings.
On the second screen you get a grey screen and your mouse turns to an x when
moving to the second monitor.
You cannot drag applications or folders to the second screen.
When looking at Displays in System Setting
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
