The manufacturer has tried to install Dapper on the same hardware and he

What's the native resolution of the panel? We could be trying to drive a
mode that isn't supported, or the VESA bios could just be utter crap...

I have tried the installation (desktop) with a new media and I'm still getting
the same result :
"The splash screen appears but then a blank screen appears with an underscore
cursor at the top-left of the screen. The desktop never appears."
There is nothing relevant in the BIOS that could help r
looks like it's stalling on reading from CD. Can you make sure both the
cd reader and the media are good?
