hi fabio,
I doubt that this is a ffmpeg bug..the original DV (that i use for PiTiVi
input) plays perfectly on ffplay
the output-file of PiTiVi (the one I uploaded) plays distorted on every player
alike
also, conversion with ffmpeg from DV to DV works perfectly.
I know the vid goes corrupt
btw, did you actually wanted the pitivi output ? (what i uploaded) or
did you wanted what i gave to pitivi as input

just like mplayer and vlc

@tom
to reproduce, open a terminal, go to the directory where test.dv is then type
ffplay test.dv
I've tried and don't work, that mean that is a ffmpeg issue.

hi fabio,
here is the attachment, because it is DV it is only 2 second of video (6MB
already)
how can I reproduce this with ffplay ?
btw, ffmpeg -i test.avi -target pal-dv test.dv works, no problem there.
@Jean-François
in maverick the garbling of the video stream is indeed solved in 0.13.5 but
So, as I understand, this bug is fixed in 0.13.5? (I indeed see no
problem importing 720x480 NTSC DV files in pitivi git).
I'd be surprised if that version gets backported to lucid... as it would
imply backporting gstreamer as well. I kinda doubt it. Well you can use

As i think that this is an libavcodec issue i assign to ffmpeg packages

good news, PiTiVi 0.13.5 1ubuntu2 (maverick) solved the above import problem.
maybe a candidate for backporting ?
