Good news!
Today I noticed that Cairo-Dock works. First I guessed that's because I
installed the newest mainline kernel (2.6.36-rc5), but actually it works
with the latest maverick kernel, too.
guisardo, could test if Cairo-Dock works for you as well with latest
updates? Anyway, strange bug.

graphic card, your drivers and some other things?

with default Maverick package, version 2.2.0-2. Is it still necessary do that?

You're right! Some errors are throw a the installation. I reinstalled
but the error were throw again. So I clean the opt/cairo-dock_bzr
directory and reinstall.

But how did you compile the dock? I see that both of you are on Ubuntu Maverick
so... did you use our script (cairo-dock_bzr.sh)?
Is it possible to re-launch the script and to choose the first option (Update
or First installation) and

Also, when running from ddd a message with "No pluggings where found"
popups. But I cant close that message. Is like it doesn't listen to the
mouse events when I click the ok or cancel button.

This bug affects me too. I have Acer Aspire One AO110L. Cairo-Dock works
well without OpenGL, but when I start it with OpenGL, it starts in
maintenance mode. I attach log with this comment as well. I started
Cairo-Dock, then I applied settings and closed the maintenance window.
Then I closed Cairo-

since cairo-dock -c works fine, I'm thinking of a problem with the drivers
under Karmic.

945 graphic card under Karmic, and have no problem so far.

This is still broken for me in Maverick. I have to start cairo-dock
with the disable opengl -c argument in order to have it stay open. It
crashes immediately on startup with no sign of failure, except that the
dock never unhides itself. When I start cairo-dock manually with opengl
(without -c) I
Recently, after some update, everything start working again. So, if no
one else is having this problem, I think we may close it.
