My observation is that system cursors are visible while custom cursors
(where the cursor shape is defined via a supplied image) are not.

Hi Victor.
My cursor disappeared all across the desktop. I don't think it is
Eclipse related. Sorry for posting in the wrong area.
Apologies for the incomplete information. I'm new at this bug reporting
thing and to Ubuntu 10.04 (though I've had Ubuntu 9.04 installed on
several PCs for over a ye
@Benjamin: I will do that on 06/28. Unfortunately, I'm unable to use
Maverick until then.
@fast ninja: Did your cursor disappear in Eclipse, or all across the
desktop? If it's not strictly Eclipse-related, then it might be a
different bug. If the cursor only disappears in Eclipse, it'd would

ubuntu newbie here. my cursor disappeared too. I was changing the screen
resolution, trying various resolutions. when I chose one, that setting
was saved and while my resolution is fine, the cursor is gone! I can
still kind of guess where the cursor is by moving it around then
switching to another
Can you update your system and check if the bug is still present? With
an updated maverick system, I cannot reproduce your issues.

After adding the ppa, my Eclipse packages got updated to
3.5.2-3ubuntu1~ppa1~4.gbp4cf94f.1build1
All the visual glitches that I reported are still there.
