Hello David. I've tried updating the sound drivers, but that doesn't work
either. But I doubt it's a software problem. My sound has been broken ever
since I've had it repaired by HP. At first sound still worked perfectly on
Windows, but after I had to reinstall it, I never got more than headphon

Hi Marshian and thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to
make Ubuntu better! You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. I've also been running the latest sound driver with
your hardware in an emulator, and it seems to be working th
I was a bit too fast with thinking the solution was found.
When using "options snd-hda-intel model=acer", plugging in headphones doesn't
mute the internal speakers.
So I went over the list of available models, with these results:
quanta-il1: no sound at all
3stack: only sound through the internal
solution found
