Note that as upstream Gnumeric developers we do not consider this a Gnumeric bug, but a klipper issue. Klipper steals and mangles the selection. We paste what klipper returns to us. There really is no justifiable reason to run a program such as klipper or glipper that tries to circumvent the clipb

"Prefer CLIPBOARD over PRIMARY" is indeed checked, yes. I believe the Gnumeric copy/paste problems are part of larger cop/paste defects in Ubuntu and/or Gnome. Problems also appear in Klipper and OpenOffice.org spreadsheet (as well as Glipper not working). -- Gnumeric copy-paste broken https://
