This bug still affects Intrepid & Jaunty. Hardy appears to handle the
WEP-only nature of the older acx driver without problem.

Ups, I wasn't aware of that, thanks for the link to the wiki. By the way, the
card is now working flawlessly with the ndiswrapper (I didn't even have to use
iwconfig, the Network Manager picked up). I made and update to kubuntu and got
a new version of the kernel.

Tosszyx - there was no need to change the status from Triaged to
Confirmed. Triaged means "A member of UbuntuBugControl believes that the

Today I wiped out my old Linux partition and made a fresh install of
Kubuntu 8.10. The bug is still there. The computer wasn't able to start
with the wireless card inserted. I removed it and install. When the card
was inserted the error appear, but this time it appears in the logs.
