Hi, I have just installed Ubuntu(8.10) on my Dell Inspiron 8200. It works well with wired-LAN, however, when I insert my Dlink DWL-G650+ WLAN card into the PCMCIA slot it completely hangs the laptop(mouse and keyboard do not work; 2 green LEDs flash on/off continuously). The only way to make the laptop work again is to completely turn if off via a long key- press(approx 5 secs) on the power-key
The laptop and Dlink worked fine with WindowsXP. I read the above comments, however, to be 100% honest it is not clear what exact steps I need to take to make the Dlink DWL-G650+ WLAN card work. Thanks for any "step-by-step" help you can offer. -- [intrepid] Kernel panic with acx driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/279287 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
