For those of you who are struggling with this I can confirm that the winfast

(7.10). The two issues that need to be tackled are
1- Fix the cx88 module by Updating to the latest V4L driver
2 - recompile kernel with timer
With the fix release in Ubuntu (according to this bug report), it should
be resolved here too

modules on the Mythbuntu 7.10 system (not the system where I built the
modules). Do I also need to change the kernel timer frequency to 1000Hz
and replace all kernel modules on the Mythbuntu system?

Hi Ben,
Thanks for testing and the update. I'm glad to hear things are working

I've tried this with the Hardy Heron Alpha2 LiveCD and the remote
control is detected (a message is shown in dmesg) and the number keys
work.
I also did a 'cat /dev/input/event6' (the input that was listed in dmesg

Do you know if there have been any efforts to get this submitted and
accepted into the mainline kernel? It is a lot of extra work for the
Ubuntu kernel team to maintain out of tree patches. As such they require
evidence of upstream submission before considering to maintain community
patches locally
Here is the second lircd.conf file.
