Precise very slow on boot
To manage not
The grub menu is not displayed during the delay, shown by setting the
grub menu to display for 10 seconds & wait for selection of kernel.
After I disconnected a USB powered hub, problem went away. When I
reconnected hub & plugged in devices to it one by one, still OK. I
assume that one of usb plugs
Most likely the delay is before the grub menu, and caused by a bios bug.
If you could confirm that would be good.

Precise very slow on bo
I've established the cause: it's due to having a USB Hub attached to a
USB socket (on the rear of the PC as there are no front USB sockets on
this PC). I've also found out that this occurs on 64 bit Precise (as
well as 32 bit Precise) as I've clean installed 64 bit Precise. Re
whether the delay occ
Is this delay before, or after the grub menu? Please attach your
/boot/grub/grub.cfg file.
