I was unable to start the nautilus until I removed the nautilus-open-

When I try to launch nautilus from a terminal the application gave me

I've created the usb pendrive with the "Startup Disk Creator". I was
able to boot it and I was able to install a working system.

too. When I tried to setup the screen saver on KDE4 I realized only two
choices available: "Blank Screen" and "Random"

I have a workaround now:
cd /etc/rc2.d/
mv S13kdm S99kdm
After this I've not seen this phenomenon again. However it's sad the kdm
won't start early as before the workaround. I wonder which start-up
script confuse the kdm mind.

Because kde 3.5.5 uploaded to Edgy, I've tested this phenomenon again. I
have bad news. The problem is still exist in kdm 3.5.5-0ubuntu3. :-(

I just installed gdm to check is this problem kdm related or not. I
realized gdm is not affected. So I think this behaviour is kdm related.

Ok, I'm going to answer my qestion, because nobody did here.
So I downloaded the source:
apt-get source kubuntu-artwork-usplash
cd kubuntu-default-settings-6.10/
It takes 1 minute to realize the color settings are here:
usplash/usplash-theme-kubuntu.c
I just modified the ".text_foreground" lin
You don't understand the problem. You did not analyze my menu.lst file
entries carefuly. I'm going to post it here again:

Maybe you just misunderstood me. I know Edgy use upstart, and I can see
messages in the usplash screen if I use the following boot enrties in
the menu.lst file:

Yes, I have the same problem. It's not so fun to switch to TTY1, then
switch back to kdm if I want to login. This machines with Dapper works
like a charm.
