Can confirm 'buggy' behavior here...
I'm getting the same issue, I am running Gnome Shell...
In addition to the OP's description.., I also noticed that if I try to
re-size a pane (like sliding the playlist pane up into the album
covers), this will capture my pointer's state (into the vert. arrows
Sorry for the delayed response, I had to move...far :) I was looking at
this report and I actually remember it. I have not seen behavior like
what was reported here in a long (very long) time (not since the
original bug report). I cannot get the update-manager to crash under

Here is a workaround, and a fairly painless one at that. This will work
for now, and may help in finding the issue in the future. Basically I
just installed the deb packages for tilp2 from the calcforge repos.
This is what I did to get tilp2 working on my Intrepid (32bit)
install...

Same issue here too.
I just bought the TI 84+ with the standard USB cable that comes with it.
I have tried tilp, then read that you need tilp2 for the USB cable to
work. It does not work either. I read that it would work fine w/ tilp or
tilp2 if I used the older style serial cable, but have not tr
Re-upgraded libeel2-2 to 2.22.2 and disable trash icon as described in
thread, and nautilus works now too. I can't help but to wonder if the
libeel2-2 caused a problem or if reverting was a lucky (on my part)
unrelated work around, but after all it was an eel error reported in the
terminal, which w
I have been fighting this one for days too, what I eventually did was
revert libeel2-2 2.22.2 back to libeel2-2 2.22.1, and of course nautilus
would run, I thought I would mention the libeel2-2 because that update
may have caused the problem. I am going to go back up to the 2.22.2 and
see if changi
This was something that just happened 'out of the blue'. I also
disabled compiz, and crashes have reduced to 'hardly any'.

This bug is affecting me in a big way for months. Heres the story:
I enrolled into a Software Development program at major Community

Hi Jorge,
Update...I installed the latest Ubuntu update this afternoon and the
problem seemed to go away...? There was a kernel image in there, but I
don't think it was in the kernel. Don't know now, but it seems to be a
non-issue. Thanks for your response.

Hi Jorge,
Your confirmation is right on...This seems to be a 'new' problem, I
believe Nautilus was part of a recent update. I installed feisty 1 week
before release and I have not noticed this until today. If you can help
direct me towards fixing this problem, I would be grateful. I have not
