I _believe_ this may be an issue in the lda vfs implementation.
Specifically if a Volumes list is used more than once, I suspect that
the DesktopAgnosticVFSFile objects are becoming corrupted. Added lda to

It's related to a drag and drop dead zone over the bar. Awn is there... you
just can't see it. But it doesn't allow drag and drops to that area to fall
through to the app underneat. I know that Docky, according to DBO (Docky dev),
had fixed this issue - so you might just need a new

it hasn't been said in this bug...
1) The current awn architecture means that the current autohide is hackish.
There are _numerious_ issues. It was added after the fact.
2) No one has stepped forward to try to fix autohide

options in the general tab of awn-manager has the text running together.

I've changed the kopt line in menu.lst to

really isn't desirable default behaviour - though I'm guessing it's not
likely to happen to someone who isn't able to fix it up relatively easily.

Fixed up menu.lst to use /dev/mapper/Ubuntu-root
Installed 2.6.17-8-generic
menu.lst still being modified in the same manner. Left it that way and
rebooted.
Stalled during boot again.
So the same thing appears to still be happening.

LVM with a root partition running on a volume group. The only partition
not on top of LVM is the boot partition which is ext3.
Root partition is reiserfs.
This has been occurring for a while and I have just been fixing it each
