Starting from version 3.2.10 shorewall includes some knowledge of the new
nf_conntrack modules included with 2.6.20 kernels.
I suggest the .deb package should be updated to version 3.2.10.

Alsa 1.0.14-rc1 should be merged in Feisty tree as it introduces bugfixes for
Conexant HD audio chipsets (present in the latest HP Pavillion notebooks).
Conexant users now can't use nor headphones nor microphones and don't have all

I repeat: shutting down with WindowsXP is clean and doesn't produce any
sounds, the harddrive spins down silently.
This means that using Ubuntu, the power is cut before the head is
automatically parked so the drive has to perform emergency head park
(which emits this noise, and wears the drive

uses only ide drives and so "sd_mod" is not loaded automatically at startup).
