Ahh, gotcha, I was able to transfer it via SSH, attached here.
This is a different run - but this installer crashed on its own after sitting
overnight.

This still is a problem, even on Ubuntu 17.10 under some (unknown)
conditions. Mine used to work with my current mouse, but I went to
adjust it today, and it's not there. I have no touchpad, only a mouse;
it's a desktop machine.
Sometimes I can plug in a mouse that will make the slider show, but

it just delays long enough for me to log in, before resetting the

Public bug reported:
I'd noticed that my wireless had been slow for a while... I'm not sure
when this occurred - whether it was before, after, or during the upgrade
from 12.04 to 12.10, but I've confirmed (via several clean installs)
that it's alive in 12.10 for sure.

I have found a suitable work-around for my needs; I was one of the many
frustrated by this change, and yet another reason I feel that Ubuntu's
overall progress is decreasing.
I take no credit for figuring this out, but the post that helped me is here:

I just (re)tested Kubuntu 7.10 i386 and Kubuntu 8.04 i386; invalid for
these as well. I don't plan on retesting Ubuntu 8.04.1 amd64 any time
soon, unless someone needs me to. (I do plan to do so before the next
time change, though.)

I guess I wasn't paying much attention at the time I installed Ubuntu
7.10 i386 on the 2nd of March of this year.
Thanks again,

@Vincent - Thanks for that. I will try it soon.
I am using Ubuntu (Eee) 8.04.1. I have tried the initrd.gz file from
FlipsideTech, as well as the one from Adam Porter - neither worked for
me.
I will try this soon, and then report back.
Thanks again!

Hello,
I, too, am having issues with the "persistent" feature.
I have tried both of the initial ramdisk files posted here for Ubuntu
(by FlipsideTech and Adam Porter), and I am still getting BusyBox. I
want to also mention that when I used the file from Adam Porter, it gave
me a Kubuntu splash s
