WL module fails to compile, apparently new kernel (2.6.37) no longer has
init_MUTEX -function. Network stops working once one puts computer into
hibernation, suspend or reboots.
Workaround is to replace "init_MUTEX(&wl->sem);" with "sema_init(&wl->sem,
1);", then "depmod" a
I also failed to get VDPAU acceleration on 10.10. The fix was to create
a link to /usr/lib/nvidia-current/vdpau/libvdpau_nvidia.so in /usr/lib
(it already existed in /usr/lib32) like so:
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/nvidia-current/vdpau/libvdpau_nvidia.so
/usr/lib/libvdpau_nvidia.so

This seems to have resurfaced in Lucid. When I connect my E71 (Bus 005
Device 020: ID 0421:00ab Nokia Mobile Phones E71 (PC Suite mode)) or
(0421:00aa, mass storage mode). NM will not recognize it.

Sorry, can't see how this is a human-theme problem (bug originally filed
against indicator-applet) since the icon from human-theme semantically
means correct thing but indicator-applet uses it in wrong/misleading
context. So I oppose switching of package.

I think following applies here:
I opened a folder via "Open With" and then "kdirstat", after this when I tried
opening Places->HomeFolder it opened it with kdirstat.
Thats highly undesirable. This was corrected by opening a folder "open
with"->"nautilus".
This is on intrepid beta1 + some
kernel 2.6.24.19 made suspend (can't test hibernate) work for me. Tested
several times over several days.

I get freeze after "Suspending console(s)" on 2.6.24-17.31, but not on -16.30
Both start and seem to hibernate/suspend just fine (power off), but resuming
fails.
"Suspending consoles" is seen when resuming from hibernate. Resuming from
suspend shows black screen and monitor blinks yellow light in
Desktops appear in shortkey editor if one sets the num_workspaces to
correct number (in /apps/metacity/ ).
