On the whole, my computer seems stable enough. It did freeze once using
BZFlag, an arcade tank game. Ctrl-Alt-F1, Ctrl-Alt-F7, Ctrl-Alt-Del all
did nothing. But I'm not sure that this has never happened using 9.04.
Aside from this, 10.04 with the Xorg-edgers ppa works just fine

I decided to give the xorg-edgers package a test under 10.04. First I installed
all updates, including linux 2.6.32-23-generic. This had no noticable effect on
GLBlur, still around 17 fps. Then I followed the instructions on

I still have this problem in Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10 alpha 1. I suspect
it's related to my video card, an ATI Radeon Xpress 200m. There's a

I have 10.04 on a test partition with 9.04 as my regular system (9.10

respects, no problems switching windows or so. But games like BZFlag or

under 9.10.

I've got 10.04 RC1 installed at present. Everything seems to work,
except suspend. Boot is nice and quick though.
I've added the 2.6.34-999.201004281008 kernel and I'm using it now for
testing. I ran (most of) the system tests, they went fine for the most

I downloaded todays (16APR2010) Ubuntu lucid build and with that I could

I tried to boot Ubuntu 10.04 beta 2 but the boot process failed before

[Packard Bell BV EasyNote MZ35] - Computer freeze
This doesn't seem to be (just_ a problem with the network-manager. My
initial report wasn't correct, the problem occurred only when
hibernating (using Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04). My computer will not wake up
properly after a suspend - I get a black screen and my only recourse is
to reboot. In Ubuntu 9.10
I tried the procedure on DebuggingKernelSuspendHibernateResume. After I
typed "sudo pm-suspend" the system was suspended (I thought the
"no_console_suspend" boot option would prevent the actual suspend but
produce useful information). Anyway, after suspend the computer would
not wake up so I had to

I did a new install of 9.10 on a separate partition. This wasn't easy, I
had to install in graphic safe mode, then boot into recovery mode and

My laptop also freezes on suspend. Hibernate does work but the wireless

No random hangs on this machine but sometimes booting freezes up, which
may be related to the suspend bug. The graph
