I'm seeing the same thing. For me, it's an old Jabber account that
doesn't work any more. I can delete it in empathy, but after I restart
empathy, it's back again. I also tried deleting the account using mc-
tool, but got the same result.

Just got the exact same behavior while trying to send a file to a Galaxy Nexus.
My laptop and the GNex paired successfully, but the first send attempt returned
"Transfer failed (0x4f)". Then the crash happened after I clicked retry.
I send files to my phone using bluetooth quite regularly, and I

again since I filed this report.

Just fixed it myself: As it turns out, the xserver-xorg-input-synaptics package
was pinned to a specific version - though I don't know how that happened, I
don't remember doing it. Anyway, I removed the hold, and the problem
disappeared.
