bug, the SD card reader is using a proprietary protocol that has not
been previously reverse engineered. It's not using the usual SCSI-over-
USB protocol. So the only way that it will be supported is if the OEM
(Acer) provides a

time". In addition I provided what I think is useful information for
tracking this down. Namely that the card reader is detected by the USB
stack but Ubuntu doesn't realize that it is a removable storage device.

this bug affects me as well on a Gateway LT2104u netbook running 10.04
netbook edition. as far as i know, the LT2104u is just a re-branded
version of the Acer AO532h.
