Sorry. I was just starting as a Linux programmer when I submitted that
bug. I have since moved on to Ubuntu 8.04 kernel 2.6.24-19-generic and
don't seem to have the issue anymore...

Sorry I couldn't get the time to reconfigure my wireless. I'm in complete
crunch mode and just don't have the extra ooomph to break a configuration
that's now working for me.

Well, I tried the safe mode install and it worked fine. I still get the
error, but I'm told it's not really an error by some other Linux folks here.

My friend did somehting to fix the ethernet issue and I can connect via
cable now. The wireless bug still exists.

My wireless system does advertise its name (If I boot into WinXP on the same

wouldn't install at all but that's a different bug!). I can't get it to
see my WPA wireless network, though when I run XP I can (so the HW
works), and when I connect with a simple ethernet cable it works
I also have a Lenovo T61 with the intel 4695AGN wireless and it doesn't
work with Gutsy. It works under XP, so the hw is OK.
