I've installed Gutsy with all the upgrades. My wireless system does advertise its name (If I boot into WinXP on the same machine, I can see it and connect just fine).
Thanks for taking this on! I'm a Linux newbie, but so far I'm having a good time :) One other (perhaps related?) issue is that when I plug a network cable directly into the ethernet port (eth0), I can connect to the net for a little while, but eventually it will fail (sometimes almost directly after I connect). I can do sudo ifdown eth0 and then sudo ifup eth0, but it fails again very soon afterwards. Again, this doesn't seem to be an issue when I boot WinXP. -Garth On Dec 5, 2007 9:24 AM, Brian Murray <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make > Ubuntu better.
