Sometimes when switching from a vmware-player VM to Unity desktop, the
keyboard key repeat and Ctrl+c/Ctrl+v stops working. At the same time,
the mouse gets incredibly slow, to a point it becomes unusable. Looking
at g-c-c keyboard/mouse, settings/sliders are at usual places.

There seems to be 2 different situations in current reports and latest
posts at forums:
1) Very slow GL performance. Unity 3D session varies from barely usable
(more powerful VGA cards) to unusable session (low-end card - session
simply stalls). No crash of Compiz / Unity Plugin. The Unity 2D sess

Modinfo confirms I am using the correct kernel module version (295.40) and
lsmod shows no trace of other vga driver, other nvidia module besides the
correct one or nouveau.

This issue was not fixed so far. My CPU is a AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
Black Edition. Dmesg shows two inconsistent information:

0x1b (Green HP Out): present = No, in both cases (HP plugged and
unplugged). There's no change to the output pasted below.

motherboard using first a fresh install of Natty, and then updated it to
Oneiric. In both cases, there really is no change to
/proc/asound/SB/codec#0 when headphone is plugged / unplugged to front

Well, I think I can say that both RC8 and 3.1.0-999.201110040905_amd64
are very likely free from this problem. I could not install RC9 (had a
weird dependency problem).

Additional information: As it turns out, it becomes impossible to use
ANY USB device after this. Plugging /; unplugging USB sticks, receivers,
external HDD, headphone, keyboard, mouse doesn't work. Dmesg shows
