@David I have verified that some users claim that Jack Sense for Front MicIn in ASUS motherboards with Realtek audio sometimes only work if they DISABLE it in the RealTeck systray software, as shown in these screenshots: http://www.rm.com/Support/TechnicalArticle.asp?cref=TEC949416 . This is on the Windows platform, but I was wondering if these information is in any way helpful for you.
