On my setup Ctrl+Alt+s is a keyboard shortcut for this broken "Toggle
shaded state" thing. I've been really confused why windows keep ghosting
and dying and sometimes taking down compiz with them when I try

And I see the problem on a Lenovo 3000 n500 with integrated video using
i915 driver.
Is there anywhere we can compile this whole list of hardware and work
out the commonalities with the hardware? We've listed quite a few
systems here, but I fear everyone's waiting for someone else to look
into it.
I did remove xulrunner-1.9.1, but before I really gave it a chance to hang
again, I unthinkingly changed something else that might be related:
I had an AndroidManifest.xml file that I discovered I couldn't open in any XML
editors anymore, complaining about the file type, which said it was "File

emulator wasn't up this time. It still seems to happen when I'm
scrolling through file editors and/or switching between files.
