I did remove xulrunner-1.9.1, but before I really gave it a chance to hang again, I unthinkingly changed something else that might be related: I had an AndroidManifest.xml file that I discovered I couldn't open in any XML editors anymore, complaining about the file type, which said it was "File (Android Binary XML)". I think I had edited that file about the time the hangs started. I reverted that file, the file type errors went away (it now says the file type is "File (XML)"), and I'm not sure I can reproduce whatever I did to break that file the first time.
Anyway, I haven't seen it crash since those 2 changes. Unless you have some reason to strongly suspect xulrunner, I'm betting that some Eclipse background task was trying to process the AndroidManifest.xml file somehow and failed very poorly. I'll post more details if I can reproduce the hang. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/727398 Title: Eclipse hangs sporadically -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
