I'm on a ThinkPad T500. I'm running xserver-xorg 1:7.5+3ubuntu1 on
amd64, currently using the Lucid beta, but I've had this problem on
Karmic as well.
I'm using a ThinkPad docking station, and whenever I connect to the
docking station with a second monitor plugged in, gnome for some reason
switches themes. I have Human selected, and it looks like after it
changes I get the "Raleigh" widget skins (i.e. Appearance
Preferences>Customize>Controls>Raleigh). As soon as I open the
Appearance Preferences dialog, the theme goes back to normal for
everything except nautilus (see attached screenshot).
I'm not sure if it's related, but as soon as I disconnect from the docking
station I get this notification:
