After this upgrade my guest OS in kvm does not start. If I load the

Finally, I have made it work!
Here is what I did:
1. delete ~/.scim
2. delete /etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/*
3. uninstal scim and all its components
4. install scim
5. run "im-switch -c" and select "scim"
after these steps everything begins to work.

in System>Preferences>SCIM Input Method Setup. Also, if I open a

I have upgraded to Ubuntu Hardy. All updates are installed. First I ran
/etc/X11$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
to reconfigure xorg.conf to the default version. Then I added "Virtual 2048
2048". The result is attached.
Then I rebooted, started System>Preferences>Screen Resolution, and
I tried this:

Ok, so I've solved the problem modifying the file /usr/bin/compiz.
First of all, I had to comment the lines
if ! check_fbconfig; then
abort_with_fallback_wm

since this test swapped the screens (weird, huh?)
After that I've modified compiz options to
COMPIZ_OPT
Also, the nature of my screens is different: one is TV (connected
through S-Video), another is Lap-top screen.

I solved the problem checking "Activate screensaver when computer is idle".
This seems strange that disabling screensaver leads to disabling power
management (at least it prevents switching monitor into sleep mode).
Could you at least add a message box saying that it will lead to such results?

I can not use "intel" driver with two independent screens, GNOME does
not load. As far as I know "intel" driver does not support independent
screens, it supports only one screen split into two or more parts for
each monitor.

I have almost the same situation except that I have two independent screens.
And I've got the same error message.
The resolution of one of them (default screen) is 1280x800, another is 1024x768.
I also have to use i810, because new "intel" driver crashes with current
configuration.
