This actually occurs in all apps other than the shell. If you are
focused on input field and osk is showing when notifciation occurs the
osk will be hidden. This happens in browser, messaging, notes, address
book and probably others.
Must be a system wide thing in the shell or window stacking.

sudo hdparm -C /dev/sdb1:
/dev/sdb1:

means the drive doesn't support querying it's current IDE power status

I'm running 3.11.0-7 Saucy kernel on Raring and the firmware gets
loaded, but it doesn't enable A2DP. Seems that the firmware loader is
working, but I have the wrong firmware?
I have an Iogear GBU521 / 0a5c:21e8 like Elijah. I fetched the windows
