I have Natty Alpha 2 installed, I am running Update Manager, and it is
showing a partial upgrade. However, on running it, UM crashes.
Running the command from the terminal or using synaptic is also not
working. I have attached a snapshot of the errors that are coming using

I agree with you that this is an obsolete package, but you still have one
package that rdepends on it and is still installable right now: tuxonice-userui.
It seems that Debian has already removed it, so it seems logical to do the same
in Ubuntu.
