Ah, maybe I wasn't clear enough. The -15 ḱernel didn't introduce the
bug, as that kernel works perfectly. It's only the newer ones than that

On my machine it sometimes boots up to the grub rescue console after a cold

As I mentioned, I have no problem getting a 1024x600 resolution with a
custom xorg.conf (which I have supplied previously, it's in the
attachments section).
I believe we are trying to see whether it is possible to have this ratio
available by default (without an xorg.conf file).

Joshua, if you think it may have something to do with the RT3090 driver
from Marcus, try uninstalling it and instead use the rt3090 staging
driver built in to the Lucid kernel. You'll need to run a command first
to create an empty missing config file -- see comments near the top of
bug #541620.

I am highly upset because Kopete will not log into my Yahoo account.
This really gets under my skin as I cannot keep up with my family and

I tried this on the latest version of PHP in Maverick (5.3.3-1ubuntu9),
and I see the same truncation issue.
Also I tried doing the POST with the curl_xxx functions and the XML was
complete.

This didn't happen to me in a couple of Ubuntu releases, but upgrading
to Maverick (stardict-gnome 3.0.1-7) introduced it here.
I just checked with "strace -f -e open -o /tmp/star.out stardict" that only the
icons from /usr/share/stardict/pixmaps/ are loaded.
Viewing these icons with eog or anot
I forgot to mention that, yes, I had enabled all repositories prior to
trying to play the mp3 file.
Finally, all packages could be installed without problems using " sudo
apt-get install " .

I can download files and software for ubuntu and it still will not let

I'm also experiencing the memory leak. It takes about 30-40mins to use
up 700MB of RES memory. At that point the computer becomes completely
unresponsive. I think the problem is neither Qt 4.7 or libtorrent
because pmap shows that the memory that is leaking is anonymous.

got lost during the move.
