My Ubuntu screensaver does not blank the screen, ie, it does not turn
off the backlights on my monitor.
I dual boot, and my Win10 install does it with no problems, so it's not
a hardware thing.
What happens is after a period of inactivity, Ubuntu will put up the
lock screen

I am seeing something similar on 20.04. If my network fails and I have
any network filesystems mounted (including nfs3 or nfs4 via autofs or
iSCSI via fstab) when I issue a shutdown or reboot command, then I am
likely to have a 10+ minute delay after the console displays that it has
reached target
Discovered this was a system-wide problem, not specifically related to cups.
Backup program was holding open a very high number if inotify watches and this
was causing issues for other programs (including cups).
Solution was to add a conf file in /etc/sysctl.d that set a higher value for
fs.inoti

I have two monitors displaying my desktop, and a Unity launcher in
both. I keep some applications in one screen, and some applications in
the other, and some applications (especially chat apps) I drag and drop
between screens depending on what I am working on in that moment.
ll got an error message, and then shortly thereafter
the page printed... Interesting, maybe latency or something.
What is surprising is that I could even add the printer to my list of
printers with "Wireless AP Isolation" enabled.
