I have squirrelmail installed on my debian system but I cannot seem to
get it to work. When I log into SM it returns an invalid user/password
message. I'm using the same id/password as my shell account, am I

Fraid it appears i've already got that line in my virtualhost directive! The
problem ONLY occurs on early browsers however (i'm tesitng on Navigator
4.08).
Looking at PHPINFO() from the two domains shows that the problem is the
cookie isn't getting registered AT ALL on the example2.com d
Bah, ignore that previous post - Sorry.
Problem was that I hadn't attempted to log in to the "cookieless" domain
before running phpinfo().
Back to the investigations..

Ok I have set up a sendmail (8) server on RedHat (9) the mail interface
itself works great and management loves it. To get vacation working I set
up usermin with its module as a stop gap. When I apply the vacation module

Which IMAP server are you using? And do you have any errors show up in your
web error logs?
Also, are you using the debian squirrelmail packages or are you using the
latest source tarball?

OTOH, Dean, I can't see it being too difficult to talk the sysadmin into
installing a few basic plugins like spellcheck and filters.
As admin, the job of installing plugins is fairly simple unless the
installation has been heavily customized. In fact, Squirrelmail comes with
a few plugins already

Don't know why but the quota_usage plugins displayed a minus perceantage
after filling up and deleting the mailbox. Can anyone explain what
happened here?

quota exceeded. the mail can be read but cannot be deleted. it cannot be
moved to the trash folder. So can the user do anything w/o the
