Probably. You should check the dictionaries for "ispell" or "aspell",
depending on which spell check backend you use. SquirrelSpell is just a
frontend for any of those two backends.

I have been looking around but I've not found anyplace where this is being
discussed. I can't get the plugin to run aspell at all, the plugin runs
but aspell does not. The only thing stated in INSTALL was that apsell must
be the the PHP path and I've installed it in c:\php4\aspell.
Anybody
I can get SquirrelSpell to work if I am not using the html-mail plugin to
compose the email. If I am composing an html email, squirrelspell says no
errors found.
I read the readme and install files for both plugins. I am also searching the
archives.
What am I missing?

I've installed SM 1.4.1 without touching the
squirrelspell, and it simply doesn't work when I
compose a message and click the "check spelling"
button.
The "Squirrelspell initiating" screen pops up with:
please wait communicating with server
then produces the following error:

Have installed SM and selected the SquirrelSpell plugin in the config file,
but when user is composing and clicks on "Check Spelling" button, a window
pops up with "SquirrelSpell Initiating - Please wait, communicating with the
