1. Jon is right about squirrelspell being part of the core distribution 2. BUT - if you must use the HTMLArea plugin, and want to use SquirrelSpell, you have to use the SquirrelSpell that was specifically modified to work with HTMLArea (I assume that is the plugin you downloaded) 3. I don't think Chris (the author) has updated it to be in synch with the very latest squirrelspell 4. HTMLArea is a PITA! 5. Please bug the author for fixes 6. If you are still getting the clash with File Manager and HTMLArea, I am willing to help if you can send me the HTML for the compose screen 7.
