That message usually means that you don't have a poppass server running
on whatever host is configured in the settings.php. You didn't provide
any information about the system you're running on, so I can't tell you
where you can get one. If you are using a linux distribution, there is a
good ch
I looked up vchkpasswd and couldn't find it. I did find vchkpwd and it
doesn't appear to be a poppass daemon. change_pass 2.7-1.4 only works
with poppassd. I'm not sure if there is a plugin that would work with
your setup or not. If you could find a poppassd for your setup the
plugin would work.

It's worth noting, the MIME-Version restriction isn't so much SquirrelMail as some
IMAP servers. Some will say a message is plain/text if th
list too, other people might have the same problem. As
for changing the mail directory in UW, I believe you have to recompile it. UW isn't
the most flexible program to use unfortunately. You might want to consider using a
different IMAP server. UW can't change it's options
3 when it does it? I think UW looks in /var/spool/mail
by default, so if you have it going somewhere else, you'll need to change that.
