Mine is vfat (fat 16 + LFN). I can mount some ok, but fdisk doesn't like
the others. I have repartitioned many times, something is most likely not
quite standard...I also have an EZ-BIOS extension for the large (4+ GB)
hard drive (Maxtor). But I'm not sure about the original guy's problem...

I didn't use fips when I installed Linux, but as far as I know you can't
change the partition type without blowing away data (I could be wrong). I
have a problem mounting my extended partitions in Linux (windows thinks

I used "fips" to shrink my Win95 partion and then installed
RedHat 5.0 (2.0.31) on my generic laptop. Everything went fine and works
great. I have a small problem : I can't mount my Win 95 partition
as "vfat' and "fdisk -p" reported that my Win95 partition is
of type "unknown" (I have add
