The compaq KVMS work great even in X. I think they

Unfortuntly I am ... a StarView if I recall correctly. (Not at the machine
ATM). So, I would say that that is one kvm switch to avoid (unless I can
figure out how to make it work) under Linux (works brilliant
ne of these quite
happily.

Belkin is inexpensive and I've seen the ads in the *Warehouse
magazines stating that it's certified to work with Linux. :-) Plus
someone here stated that it works
On this note, I'd like to hear recomendations of electronic KVM switch
brands please.

Not to be discouraging, but I've noted that mice frequently have
trouble with these boxes under the best of conditions. Some PS/2
ports just won't work with them at all, and some operating systems (as
you've seen) handle some configurations better than others. I
frequently have to reboot a part
Hi Adam,
There is no problem if you are changing over from ps/2 to serial port
Use the mouseconfig tool (be in root ) to achieve your
objective.
Please get back to me if you are unsuccessful

Hi. I'm having a hard time getting my mouse to work through my new kvm
switchbox. It works fine for the nt box, but the mouse doesnt respond in
x. Hopefully this is not one of the things 'that need work'. Heres the
setup...
linux box (ps/2 port) -> ps/2-to-serial changer -> serial port on switch
