It was this same point that I reached three months ago with my attempts to install/configure Mailman (problems, headaches, errors) at which point I installed SmartList. I had difficulties with that the first time, too, but there were some really kind people on the SmartList/procmail mailing lists

Erik, IMHO, mailman (www.list.org) is really good. It can be a little tricky to setup at first -- or at least the version I downloaded had some installation issues which differed from the docs -- but once you have it setup, it's dirt simple to create a new list and configure it. -Fred
