Hi Joey,   it looks like that you are booting in runnlevel 5 and the X server could not start correct. Try booting from disk or cd in rescue mode and edit your /etc/inittab. Change the following line "runlevelid:5:initdefault:" to "id:3:initdefault:" Normally in rescuemode your harddrives
