I don't know much about this subject but have picked a bit up since I bought
a CD-writer. Try increasing the size of your fifo (it look like its filled
up) I don't know how to do this at the command line (I use X front ends) but
in my *limited* experience increasing the size of this dramitically

works beautifully. 'Course you *do* have to have a scsi
adapter, so if you don't have one, you might want to try an
IDE one first, but make sure it's got a TON of buffering
ram on it first!

Yamaha makes a decent 4x4x16 that I got refurbished from the (now
defunct?) Smart & Friendly.

It has an interesting article about recording CD's under linux. I recommend
cdrecord and mkisofs. The homepage for cdrec
My advice would be to use the software that came with your cd-writer - those
are usually set up to do .ISO's right out of the box.
