I'm using a Yamaha CRW4416S SCSI CDRW (4x4x16) here and it works beautifully. 'Course you *do* have to have a scsi adapter, so if you don't have one, you might want to try an IDE one first, but make sure it's got a TON of buffering ram on it first!
