Hi, This is just a general rule of thumb for UNIX systems that you should have at least double the RAM for swap. If you have something like 128Mb of RAM you may even want to shoot for three times the swap. If this is already the case you may want to take a look for any core files that might giv

I am totally new to this list and I joined it to see if anyone can give me an answer to this question. I am having constant memory allocation errors every day on a linux system running my http server., so it is very vital. My only recourse is to CTRL-ALT- DEL and most times RESET. This sucks and
