Subject: Needing help with eth0
Well, I'm not even sure what to say. I've been using Linux for over a year
now, used 4 distros, and installed it dozen of time, but I can't get my
eth0 to work at all on Red hat 6.2
It's a linksys, I belive, and it was auto-dete

It's /etc/conf.modules in Red Hat. You may want to create a symlink if
you're used to the other nomenclature.

So I'm wondering,
What went wrong with the custom install?

conf.modules has been deprecated and its use is discouraged.

RH6.2 it's known as conf.modules. In reading the RH Beta
list (Pinstripe list) I noticed that the author has moved
to calling it modules
