but wu-ftpd is very fond of bugs, I would never use it!!!
as I said in a prevoius mail, vsftpd is very good, very light weight, and
it's the one RH uses on it's ftp servers
maybe it lacks many features other ftpd's ha

if you use "./nc" it should work, since it executes it from the directory

delete the rule you said, the command you issued was right perfect
the number is only if you want to place a rule in some especific place or
smoething like that..
or maybe you can also delete a rule if you don't know the exact syntaxis it
was made, but know the number, I don't remember.

if you look at the ipchains doc, you'll be sure it will do it..
now when you are not completely sure you can always test, in a test box if
it is something dangerous to do on a production server..

I am showing you that I got the file libstdc++.so.2.8.0, because I installed
a package that installs it...
then I use "rpm -qf" to know what package installs it, and it shows that
that package is compat-libstdc++
so you have to install compat-libstdc++
