I though all I needed to do (RH7.3) to include an NFS mounted
partition in the 'slocate' database was to changed the line in
"/etc/cron.daily/slocate.cron" from
/usr/bin/updatedb -f "nfs,smbfs,ncpfs,proc,devpts" ...
to
/usr/bin/updatedb -f "smbfs,ncpfs,proc,devpts
I recently upgraded my RH7.1 system to RH7.2 + updates.
Something is "out of wack" with the screensaver functionality under
gnome. Enabling "random" mode via "../Desktop/Screensaver" causes
random images but *simultaneously*! So, my load average goes "through
the roof". Also, at that point the

I've got a Dell Latitude CPx laptop running RH7.0 and XFree86-4.0.1-1.
When I use the machine with a projector, I am able to get an image on
the laptop's monitor *or* the publicly-viewable screen but not both.
I press the Fn+F8 (CRT/LCD) key to switch the image target(s). Note
that when using the
