I use the server, works fine for me.. although I think I had to hack
around with it a bit, it still worked.. you only need the permedia
server, nothing else.. now I just have the problem that I cant get to
anything above 800x600 :(

Actually its not that (well, if you try to map a drive it is) but no,
you have to configure smb to be browseable. edit /etc/smb.conf, look
for the directories you have shared (i.e. homes) and look for
browseable=no, change it to yes, and off (or on!) you go!

Of course, I have almost no programming experience whatsoever.. and it
doesn't even need to support the .mbx, because the formats are the

Does anyone know of a way to have 2 different mailservers both serving
the same domain, so when a mail is sent to that domain, it will hit
the first server, then if the user doesnt exist there it will go to
the second? Thanks!

well, uhh... for a new user named joe just "adduser joe" should
work... then "passwd joe" to set the password for that user. Hope this
helps and was not a stupid answer :)

have to set resolv.conf to 127.0.0.1

I have noticed the same thing.. FTP from anything but RH5 is extremely
faster AND more reliable. This is suing both standard FTP and NCFTP
(with and w/o the upgrade). Makes it hell to upgrade everything listed
on the errata page...
