Yes, but I want to know everything that's on the CD, not just the
installed packages.

That gives me the filenames, but not the Group names (ie:
Applications/Games) and the package sizes. Can you tell RPM to look
at the CDROM instead of the hard disk?

I notice that the complete package list is not included in the RH6.2
Install Guide, as it was in previous distributions. It sure would be
nice to have. I can get RPM to tell me what packages are installed
(using rpm -qai) but how can I get a list of ALL the packages on the
CD?

ller doesn't give you the option to create a
boot disk. This will be fixed in 6.2, according to sources at RH
Labs. I didn't try, but maybe one could ctrl-alt-f2 and run
mkbootdisk from the shell prompt. Anyone know?

P.S. - Why is the mkbootdisk command so user-sur
happy to install Linux without
LILO, and just boot the Linux partition using a floppy. But it won't
give me that option.

updated after I entered the DNS info on the Advanced screen. Shouldn't
this result in a "nameserver" entry being written to the resolv.conf
file? Without that, one can only access internet sites by IP number,
right?
