When I did a ctrl-alt-f2 and started fdisk it told me that my /dev/hda
was "busy" or "could not be accessed". Can't remember the exact
words. Probably because Disk Druid was running in the GUI.

So I rebooted with the RH 6.0 install disk which DOES give you a
choice of fdisk or DD. Using fdisk I was able to add the partitions.
Next I fired up the 6.1 installer and everything worked fine, except
that it failed to install LILO. That's fine, I figured... I'll just
create a boot disk and boot up the Linux partition from a floppy.

But wait... the 6.1 installer doesn't give you the option to create a
boot disk. This will be fixed in 6.2, according to sources at RH
Labs. I didn't try, but maybe one could ctrl-alt-f2 and run
mkbootdisk from the shell prompt. Anyone know?

Regards,
Bob Rankin

P.S. - Why is the mkbootdisk command so user-surly? I mean, couldn't
it ASSUME I want to put the image on /dev/fd0 and figure out which
kernel to use (especially when there is only one to choose from)?
